We will look at the card for this year, the Wheel of fortune and explore its meanings. The committee will also draw a spread for the year ahead. Don't forget you decks and see you there!
Please note Jenny Higgins will now launch her new book at the March workshop.
Jenny has been a popular speaker at our monthly meetings. This month she is launching her book, Years of wisdom: The Tarot and women's experiences of growth and empowerment. Jenny will discuss her book and the journey to publication. You can get a signed copy of the book on the day.
After the AGM we will be playing with a variety of three card spreads.
This will be a hands on workshop.
The AGM for 2016 will be held on Saturday 3rd December.
All of the usual papers will be posted to you in November. We look forward to your participation and interest on the day.
Is this your time to support the Tarot Guild in a more active way?
We shall study the much-maligned Suit of Swords to explore the ways in which the function of the mind is depicted from different philosophies such as in the Osho Zen, Mythic, and Waite Smith decks.
The Sword can be used to wound and to heal and its force is particularly felt through thoughts and words. In the Tarot the Swords power can be connected to that of The Magician and The Tower. In reality using the full force of the sword is very difficult for most of us and we shall explore why this is so.
Kate will be sharing a spread with us that will take us from birth to death and shows what lessons we have brought from another lifetime into this one. Please bring your cards.
For those who missed seeing Andrea’s brilliant work at the 2015 Living Tarot Conference, the TGA is screening The book of shadows at our monthly meeting on August 6th. Seating will be limited. Fantales, maltesers and popcorn will be provided to enhance your viewing experience.
Please see the flyer for more information
Jenne Perlstein is presenting for us following her workshop on 'The Psychology of Relationships in Tarot' at the Tarot and Psychology Conference in New York. In this workshop she'll be looking at codependent and obsessive relationships portrayed by the Lovers, Devil and Hanged Man.
We'll have the chance to use her key spreads for ourselves and our romantic issues. Bring your cards and your questions!
