Melbourne Workshop – The Evolution of the Tarot: Contemporary Interpretations Born From the Past with Anne Shotter

December 3 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Anne Shotter

It has always amazed me how the design of The Waite Smith Tarot deck is medieval and yet its meanings have evolved through the centuries and remain applicable in this ever changing new age of psychology and technology.

This deck  is a tribute to the Imagineering of Pamela Coleman Smith and Arthur Edward Waite and the power of symbology.     It is also testimony to the reputation of this deck as the world’s most popular Tarot deck.

In this presentation we shall explore the way in which the symbols on these cards have enabled the meanings to evolve whilst remaining linked to the iconic imagery of the past.  This makes Tarot endlessly fascinating.

Cost: $10 for members, $18 for non-members
